Merry Christmas

For unto us a child is bornunto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace”
(Isaiah 9:6)

I believe this Christmas has more meaning than ever. I hope we are aware that life can change in the blink of an eye and we have to be grateful for every moment.

As I encourage myself, I also want to encourage you to be thankful for the natural gifts you received, and to be humbled by the gift we never deserved, which is the birth of our savior Jesus Christ.

Whereever you find yourself this Christmas, I want you to know that God is with you.

Have a Merry Christmas!! And remember…Jesus loves you and SO DO I!

Blessings,

Today’s Prayer: Gratefulness

Blessings everyone! Happy Thursday. I encourage you to enjoy every moment God gives you.  Sometimes we are so excited about the weekend or a holiday that we forget to give thanks for the blessings we experience every day. Remember to give thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ – Ephesians 5:20

Father in the name of Jesus, we give you thanks! Today and always, we will give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus. Lord, we are grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and we offer to you an acceptable worship, with reverence and awe…Amen.

You are a good God; our provider, counselor and friend. Lord, we will praise your name with a song! We will magnify you with thanksgiving. Hallelujah!

Lord, we are grateful that you sent your son Jesus Christ. It is by your grace we have been saved through faith. Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift! Today and always we say thank you.

In Jesus name…Amen.

Today’s Prayer: Self-Control

Good morning beautiful people of God! Jesus LOVES YOU!

Father in the name of Jesus, thank you for your presence. Where would we be without it?  As the second month of the new year comes to an end, we ask that you help us to walk in self-control. Help us to control our thoughts and actions, so we may finish the race you have set before us.

Father, each day we are bombarded with negative thoughts that attempt to infiltrate our hearts. As we face the daily temptation to act on those thoughts, remind us that you have not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, love and self-control. Thank you Lord for the power, to change our thoughts, you said we can do all things through Christ that strengthens us, so we know we have self-control because your divine power has granted us all things that pertain to life and godliness; and that includes self-control.

Help us to value the importance of prayer and spending time in your word, as doing those things lead to self-control. Help us to walk in the fruit of the Spirit which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Father, we know the end of all things is at hand, therefore, help us to walk in self-control and be sober minded.

Lord, we thank you for your grace; for it brings salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in this present age, as we wait for our blessed hope which is you.

We thank you for answering our prayer in Jesus Name…Amen.

Have a WONDERFUL day!

Today’s Prayer: Love

Father, in the name of Jesus, thank you for another week in the land of the living. We are grateful for your love towards us.

On this Valentine’s Day, we thank you for being the inventor of love. You love us so much, that you gave your only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

On a day like today it is easy for us to love those we love, but God we ask that you help us to love our enemies and do good. Help us to obey your commandment and love one another as you have loved us.

With all we do, help us to do it in love; because without love, we are nothing.

Lord, thank you for this wonderful day. In Jesus name…Amen.

Today’s Prayer: Peace

Good morning beautiful people of God!

Father in the name of Jesus, thank you for another day! We bless your wonderful name.

Lord with each passing day, remind us to keep our minds on you. Your word tells us you will keep us in perfect peace as we keep our minds on you, because we trust you. As we face tribulation in a fallen world, help us to set our mind on the Spirit because it is life and peace. We ask that your peace rule in our hearts, and we thank you in advance that YOU have overcome the world, which means we already have the victory in Christ Jesus.

As we go about our weekend, we submit ourselves to you. And when the enemy attempts to rob us of our peace help us to resist him because he will flee from us.

Thank you for being the Lord of peace. In Jesus name…Amen
