About

Darlene-HEADSHOT

Hi, my name is Darlene and I am a Christian, a wife, a mom of five sons (blended family), and the founder of my personal blog Healed to Speak. I created this blog over six months ago but took a brief break to revamp and regroup as I realized there were several topics I felt led to speak about.

I created this blog to share my story of healing from the effects of emotional, physical, and sexual abuse. As a person who experienced many forms of abuse throughout most of my adolescent years, I understand the negative impact it can have on your life when you have not experienced true healing from God. My journey to healing was a long process and I am grateful for each part of it. Despite what has happened in my past, I learned that I am an overcomer through Christ Jesus.

In this blog, I will share my stories of pain and abuse and how I overcame them. I will also share stories of faith, forgiveness, healing and triumph through Christ! Although the focus of my blog is to discuss my healing journey, I will also discuss other topics such as singleness, dating, marriage, being a single mom, household organizational tips, and other fun topics. 🙂

Each of us has areas in our lives in which we still need healing and my goal is to impart healing words unto you as God imparts into me. My prayer as you read my posts is that you receive healing, freedom and feel the presence of God’s love as I share my words and thoughts with you.

I am excited that you have joined me, and I look forward to your journey to healing knowing that God has great things in store for you!

Please enjoy the first YouTube video I ever did. I was terrified and did not want to do it, but I knew I wanted to connect with you in a different way. In this video I share 20 facts about me.

Please enjoy!

  1. Your Video is a Blessing!! I can relate to a lot that you shared. Thank you for sharing. I love writing, Thank God for google spelling!! I started out writing in books journals many years ago. I still have them, they go with me where I move too. The writing was to help my Healing as a child, teen, adult. I have come a long way, and I thank Jesus Christ for it ((All)) I’m still a working process. But I can see where I am today, from where I was. You keep going forward and allow the Holy Spirit to use you for His purpose. I’m going to stop!! lol lol because I can talk but it’s ((all)) good. ((Hugs)) 🙂

  2. Hi Darlene, thanks for liking my post, Love the title of your blog, Healed to Speak. A wonderful, blog to speak about something that is a major problem in society that few girls, and women from all walks of life simply do not want to talk about because of guilt and shame. Thank you, for allowing Father to heal you, to share your story so others can heal and speak out about what they suffered to. ashes4him.
    Blessings!
