Today’s Prayer

Father, in the name of Jesus, thank you for another year to celebrate your birth. Help us to continue to focus on who you are. The Great I AM. The Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.

As we cross over into the New Year, I pray our heart’s desire is to please you more. To not only be hearers of your word but doers.

Your word tells us you have great plans for our lives; plans to prosper us, to give us a future and a hope. Therefore, as we make our plans for the year, remind us to acknowledge you because you will make our paths straight.

We love you Lord. Thank you for the grace and mercy you bestow on us with each new morning. We don’t deserve it but are thankful for your love towards us. What a Love!

In Jesus Name…Amen

Merry Christmas!

Luke 2:11 ” Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.”

Good morning everyone!! Merry Christmas!! I pray your day is filled with God’s peace, joy and love.

God, thank you for sending your son Jesus!

By the way, my first pie (from scratch) came out pretty good! I used a recipe I found on Pinterest!

Thanks Be To God

Hello everyone!

I hope all is well. How are you feeling? Did you enjoy your weekend? Did you brave the Christmas shopping crowd?

Well, tomorrow is the big day! My children are ecstatic and have been counting down the days since July. I love spending time with my family during the holidays especially when we’re all together. But this year, my three eldest sons are spending time with their families who live up North and down South. This is the hard part of having a blended family. This Christmas, my husband and I are celebrating with our two youngest boys who are eight and ten. I was a little disappointed, but I am much better now.

My youngest sons miss their oldest brothers but they are not disappointed at all. They are looking forward to what my husband and I have blessed them with this year. I decided to take a page out of their book and focus my attention on what matters most about tomorrow and that is the birth of my savior Jesus Christ.

“Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!” – II Corinthians 9:15

This is the time to celebrate Him! Therefore, I am going to rejoice, drink plenty of coffee, bake cookies with my children, bake my first sweet potato pie from scratch, and give God praise because if it were not for Christ’s birth, Christmas would not exist.

Maybe your holiday isn’t going as planned, but I encourage you to focus on what’s most important, the birth of our savior. The person who was born to save us from sin. The person who has overcome the world. Thank God for Jesus!

Merry Christmas to you!
PS. I’ll let you know how the pie turns out!

Today’s Prayer

Father, I thank you for another week; another week to seek your face and give you praise for all the great things you have done for us. As we embark upon the Christmas holiday, help us to be sensitive to those who are not experiencing joy during this time. I ask that you touch the hearts, minds, and emotions of those who are struggling in the season.

Whether they are missing their loved one who is serving our country, have lost a loved one, or they simply do not have the means to give the gifts they desire, I ask that you wrap your loving arms around them. Let them know you love them with an everlasting love. Help them to know you will never leave them nor forsake them regardless of how they are feeling.

Lord, help us to be a blessing to those who need it most, in this season and throughout the year. As your word tells us it is more blessed to give than to receive.

Thank you again for the greatest blessing you could ever give us, the birth of your son Jesus Christ.

We ask all these things in Jesus Name…Amen.

Blessing!

Today’s Prayer

Glory!

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for once again waking us up! We praise you Lord! Thank you for the mercies you bestow on us with each new morning! Great is your faithfulness. Father, we ask for your strength today. Let the words of our mouth and the meditation of our hearts be acceptable in your sight oh Lord.

Lord there really aren’t enough words to thank you for all you do for us; even when we don’t deserve it. We are in awe of your goodness towards us. Most especially during this season. Thank you again for sending your son Jesus to save us!

Lord, during this season remind us above all else, to show the love of Christ so people will be drawn unto you as we let our light shine.

Thank you for who you are in our lives!
We look forward to a great day in Jesus name Amen!

Blessings!
